Playing For Change

playingforchange.com - From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic Stand By Me, by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe.

Playing for Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The idea for this project arose from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. No matter whether people come from different geographic, political, economic, spiritual or ideological backgrounds, music has the universal power to transcend and unite us as one human race. And with this truth firmly fixed in our minds, we set out to share it with the world.

Hotelicopter

An eighteen room flying hotel.

Hotelicopter is a hotel search engine.

They help you decide where to stay for your next trip, and where you can book it for the best available price.

When you do a hotel search on hotelicopter.com, they go out and compare pricing and availability in real time from over 30 different travel sites, including online travel agencies, consolidators, and hotel sites. The rates and availability displayed on hotelicopter are exactly what you’d find searching each individual site.

The flying hotel was an April 1, publicity stunt to promote the new website. The hoax has continued to fool people long after April Fool's Day.  link

Ancient City Auto Club Show

Photos from Ron:

Saturday morning, May 16th, near the downtown parking garage, I visited the Ancient City Auto Club Show. It was a pleasant morning to walk around and see all the different old vehicles. These are some of the cars I saw.

1931 Pierce Arrow above.  They were made in Buffalo, NY on Elmwood Ave. I have been told that my grandfather worked there at one time. One of the things I think he did, was putting on the pinstripping. I was told by the owner of this car that this car was re-painted sometime in the 1990's.
