Weightlessness
Astronauts floating weightless - having fun.
Obama?
A man who resembles Barack Obama to an astonishing degree is causing double-takes he walks the grounds of the Democratic National Convention. Gerardo Buisseaux, a Cuban-American credentialed as a reporter for a Miami television station, is a dead-ringer for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. The resemblance hasn't gone unnoticed. Journalists and delegates alike are flocking to the actor, who was hired by the station because of his "Obama looks." Buisseaux, an Obama supporter, said that he is honored to look like a "great man."
Flip-flopping candidates
Flip-flops decorated with miniature heads of U.S. Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain have given summer fashion a political twist. The quirky footwear is sold by 'HotFlops', based in Los Angeles. They are the brainchild of Linda Spann who, along with company CEO Sean Jackson, thought the American electorate would get a kick out of the colourful summer shoes. Some have pondered if the shoes had a hidden message: putting the faces of candidates often accused of flip-flopping on issues, on shoes of the same name. Spann insists, however, that the meaning behind the shoes is nothing more than old-fashioned American patriotism. Pairs of the flip-flops were even sent to each nominees headquarters and received, according to Spann, favourable responses. However, Obama and McCain have yet to be spotted wearing the polemic sandals.
The Psychic Chicken Network

THE RULES
Are ya a psychic or just a psycho? Here's yer chance to find out.
How does it work? Simple. See the cards on the right? The square, triangle, squiggle and star? All ya have to do is read my mind and click on the card I'm concentratin' on. As soon as ya click, I'll pick another card (or the same one again if I'm feelin' tricksy) and ya can try again. Every time yer right, yer score gets better. Every time yer wrong, yer score gets worse.
When yer ready to start over, click the my beak and we'll do it again. Impress yer friends. Terrify yer enemies. Make people ya don't know nervous - but I guess ya do that already, eh Bucko?
Have some friends to compete with? Here's how. Each person gets 10, 20 or 30 guesses (yer choice) and the highest score wins.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. If ya can score a Ruprecht rating on a hundred guesses, yer a major psychic talent. But that doesn't mean yer not my minion, okay? Let's keep our heads about this, Bucko. link

Coquina Evening Sky

I went out yesterday evening to see if the sunset would be good. It wasn't bad, considering the poor conditions for sunsets this summer. But to the southeast was something more interesting - a developing thunderstorm.

The top of the clouds were still in sunlight, but the lower portions were beginning to fall behind the earth's shadow.
