Stop-motion animation made by children

Some people thought that with computer animation, stop-motion animation would be obsolete. With major projects like Wallace and Gromit and smaller ones like Shaun the Sheep, it would seem stop-motion animation is going to be around for a while. Indeed, stop-motion animation is being used by educators as a creative project for children of all ages. I came across several short videos made children that are very charming. The above video is titled Island Rescue and was the first of several videos made by a home-schooling group. (Clicking the image will open the video in a new window. Be sure to also watch Monster.)
Animal Hospital was made, with assistance, by a three year old. It is very short. At the end there is a segment showing the little girl adjusting the props and taking the pictures. At twelve frames per second it requires 720 individual pictures to create one minute of video. That is pressing the limits of a child's attention span.
The Snowman was made by an eleven year old during a one week animation class.
Tiger Temple
In Thailand, a monk has created a refuge for tigers. It has become a tourist destination for cat lovers who want to caress the huge preditors. (Unfortunately, there is no part two to the above video.) link

Full length TV shows

Nothing good on TV? Wishing for a rerun of an old favorite show? On the Fancast website you can watch full length TV shows. Some recent, some quite old, but quite a variety of choice. You can see Twin Peaks and Dynasty, the various CSIs, Hill Street Blues, Alfred Hitchcock, Bob Newhart, Lou Grant, MacGyver, Ironside, and of course Star Trek and hundreds of others. It's a long list with something for everyone.
