What am I?

Hello, first let me say that I don't speak, I am just in your house to be helpful.
There are times when you need me very much.
Usually I see both sides to your situations.
The stories I could tell if only I had a voice.
I think Walt Disney animated me in one or more of his movies.
There are times when you have me outside and I get subjected to the heat, humidity, and also the cold and rain.
Then there are the times when I enjoy the full comfort of your house.
Sometimes you subject me to very hard treatments.
Sometimes as a result of your hard treatments I do damage to your house, I get damaged sometimes too, then you get mad at yourself.
When you think nobody sees what you're doing, I see all of it.
Then there are times when you allow your house guests to use me, but they always seem to be kinder to me than you do sometimes.
In some homes I get dressed up, especially around Christmas time.
In some homes I'm used to get to your food, when you want to do your laundry.
I watch as you shower, and use the other porcelain fixture in there too.
In some homes I'm very aged, and there are times when you need for me to be thrown out of your house.
 
I am the most useful thing in your house! What am I?
