My science project

A second-grader and his father document the testing of a home-made jet pack. With a slightly larger rocket engine he actually gets airborne. (OK, so he isn't really flying, but making the video was a great father-son project.)

Fainting goats

These goats  are genetically predisposed to "fainting." Not exactly fainting, but they have uncontrollable stiffening of the leg muscles, which causes them to topple when excited.

Calf

Moose calf, that is. These photos have been circulating in an email with several inaccurate stories. As is ususally the case with this kind of email, the true story is more interesting than the tall tale. Unfortunately, there seems to be much confusion over what is the truth. The photos are said to be from Alaska, Michigan, Vermont and Newfoundland.
